Projects

We have lived in our house for over 2 years now and it still feels like we are still moving in. There isn't so much unpacking to do, per say, we just have not taken the time to organize, decorate, and put things away like a homeowner should do. I have vowed to make this project week. Everytime I go into a room I see something that needs to be done. I am starting with the master bedroom. We recently got new furniture for the master bedroom so most of my clothes have been strewn about the room and left for Quinn to crawl all over. Instead of putting them away in the nice dresser we bought. Next will be the pantry. It screams "ORGANIZE ME!" So, I will. And I will organize and clean until I can't stand it anymore. Or, uh, I mean, until Friday when I declare project week is over!!! Ofcourse I will let you know of the progress when project week is over. Wish me luck!

Annoying!

A couple of days ago Quinn and I were at Babies R Us and Quinn was his usual talkative self. One of the employess came up to us and was saying, "wow, he sure is talkactive and fun!" I smiled and we tried to keep shopping. Then she says, "I work in the Photo/Portrait Department and we are a bit slow right now. Would you mind if I borrowed your son as a model to help practice my posing? For your trouble, you will receive a free 8 x 10." I thought what is the harm. Of course they will try to upsell me for more, but I will just refuse. Well, this "employee" was all up in Quinn's face and actually kind of scaring him. I had never seen anything like it. Quinn turned into a whiney clingy baby, and I thought she better back off. When she started walking back to the camera and I would talk to him he would start to settle down and then she would do the whole "PEEK ABOO! WHOO! WHOO! PEEK A BOO!" and again he started to fuss whine and eventually cry. I wanted to say "Perhaps if we got him just playing or talking, rather than try to force him to LIKE you and pretend to smile..." She was so annoying and would not get out of his face. I could tell she was growing impatient and began to snap shots. This picture says it all! Poor kid. As soon as we walked out of there he was back to his smiley talkative self. On a side note, her portraits stunk. No wonder she wanted to "practice her posing". He isn't even centered in this picture. And for all of you out there thinking that this is what kids do when forced to look into a camera, Quinn had his pictures done at the Target Studio before and was an absolute angel.

She

It is a girl! We went to the ultra sound yesterday and all along I have had the feeling that it is a girl. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time. I am used to the boy stuff. I am used to the banging and hitting and mischievious things boys do.....and now we are going to have a girl! Nail polish, makeup, dress up, mood swings, ribbons, princesses, ballet...it is all a little scary to me. BUT, I could not be more excited! Crazy?!?! This little girl definitely got the Williams lip, but I think it is so cute, I had them take a picture! We have not decided on a name, so any suggestions would help!

This is my Quinn boy. Every morning we go walking with a friend. Even though it is only 45 degrees out in the mornings, I feel as though I am must bundle him up! He is a good sport and enjoys his mornings out with mom. He talks the whole time and although I can't understand him yet, I am sure he will have plenty to say! He always makes sure to kick his blanket off so he can hang one leg out the side of his stroller.
He likes to chill. It is hard to believe that next month he will be a year old!!!!

What is Your True Color?

I am a GREEN
Green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!
What is your Color?
(I stole this from Jen!)
