The Race

Wow! I did it! I completed the PF Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do it after I had the flu the week leading up to the race. But somehow I ran it and finished! My time was terrible and slow, but now it gives me something to try and beat! 2 hours and 24 min. It was a great experience and I definitely want to do it again....only this time I want to be healthy!!Here are the other 2 rock stars that flew out to do the marathon. On the left is my sister in law Angi and the girl on the right is Lesley, her sister. Lesley ran the full marathon and didn't look like she broke a sweat! (that is water on her shirt) It sort of turned out to be a girls weekend because my sister Shannon and my other sisterin law Michele also came out. It was such fun to have all the girls together! Here we all are the night of the marathon enjoying a great big dinner, on Bob! Thanks Dad!
I am sure there is so much more I could say about the marathon and fun weekend that we all had together, but my time is limited today.....I promise to continue the blog, but maybe not as often as I should!!!

A New Year

I just can't decide if I am going to continue with the blog. Obviously, I have been on a super long break with it anyway. Since joining Facebook, it seems easier to upload a couple of photos and insert some blurb, than to let the whole wide world into my crazy little mind by typing and posting photos of whatever I may be thinking about that day. HOWEVER, I do realize that by blogging, out of state relatives and friends have some way to keep up with our family. (how narcissitic am I? Well, anyone who has a blog has to be a little bit.) And the one real advantage for me is that I do not keep a journal. This was it!! Still deciding, so stay tuned. And here is the ONLY picture that we took on Christmas day....weird. Had the video camera going, but never thought to take any stills.

Lucy is Eating Solids and Doing a Million Other Things

Lucy enjoying her Rice Cereal
Messy Mess
This was Lucy's 1st time in a high chair. She was a pro!
Sometimes I put Lucy in her highchair to play with toys. I asked Quinn to get her a toy she could play with and this is what he brought her. :)
We took Lucy and Quinn to a waterpark in Chandler and Lucy loves the water! She is extremely tired in this picture, but she had a great time AND a great nap on the way home.
Sweet Lucy Jane in her Bumbo seat.

Lucy chillin'.
So Lucy Jane is now 7 months old and the time has flown! She weighs 22 pounds and by looking at her you'd never know that she was 4 weeks and a day early! She rolls over, coos, grabs things, eats solids, and laughs hysterically at her older brother. Time with the 2 kids has been priceless.

The Cookie Maker

One of my most favorite "projects" to do with Quinn is making cookies. He LOVES it! I am not sure if it is because I let him dump everything in or because I let him eat enough dough to make himself sick. Either way he is a great helper and I love it!

See! See!

Quinn has finally discovered what a camera is and what it does, exactly. So now everytime I take a picture, he says "See! See!" Then pretty much rips the camera out of my hand so that he can see the picture that has just been snapped. He had me take a bunch of pictures of him making some face so he could see! see! them. Here are a few:

Sunset

I came out of the grocery store the other day to see this:

I had one of those moments where you have to stop and appreciate what is before you. It was spectacular! The picture doesn't even do it justice.

Update to Come....

So I finally had about 30 minutes that I could dedicate to really update this ol' blog of mine. I started to try and upload some pictures and Blogger said there was an internal problem, try again later. Hmmmmph! So all blog updates are currently put on hold until later! Later meaning whenever I can get 30 or 40 minutes of uninterrupted time again!
